Have you wondered what SWAT class is? I've had quite a few people ask me what it is. SWAT class is a technology based class. Our team tries to find tips, that might make using an iPad easier. SWAT stands for Students Working to Advance Technology. The SWAT team class was started in 2017-2018 by Katie Hamlin, Zach English, and Mrs. Orton to help teachers and students use technology. SWAT exists because it is an opportunity for our team to help others with their iPad if they need it. This year the team is working towards becoming Apple Student Mentors, which means we go in depth to learn about all of the Apple apps. As Apple Student Mentor Candidates we do much more than it seems. One of the big things we’ve learned about so far this year is Apple’s Culture of Learning We’ve learned what Apple’s philosophy is, how they do things, and why they do things the way they do. We learned in order to better help others in their use of technology, we need to… 1. Make Connections, like with our information kind of link it together, 2. Work Together, help each other out, 3. Listen to Each Other, what does he or she have to say, 4. Take Risks, move outside the box, push ourselves, 5. Encourage Each Other, give one another advice, 6. Seek Solutions, there may be more than one way of doing things, maybe one way is better than the other, 7. Share our Learning, share what we’ve learned with others. We first have to learn those topics before we can go any deeper in SWAT class. If you want to learn more about SWAT, you can visit our blog here, https://kchsswatteam.weebly.com Thanks for reading!
